It really isn't hard to just open your mouths and join in whenever a song is sung. Anyone saying atmosphere doesn't matter don't you realise thst you can directly influence what is happening on the pitch if you make some noise!!

So a football stadium should be as quiet as ours then?Sing if you want. Don't if you don't.
Too many people telling other people what to do in life, we don't need it in football as well.
Most football grounds are exactly the same.So a football stadium should be as quiet as ours then?
I don't know, is there a rule?So a football stadium should be as quiet as ours then?
This is the atmosphere thread, and the atmosphere is fucking horrendous!Every game I've watched on TV in the past month has empty seats. How many was there at Aston Villa today ? How many were at Arsenal last week ? Lets just stop it now and enjoy our football team.
That’s the bad thing in this thread… you can tell that the regular posters to the thread are all the ones who join in all the time. We’re all just exasperated with everyone else but I’m not sure that many others even bother with this thread, just like they don’t bother with joining in with the atmosphere. And any who do, come on and continually tell us that everyone else has a shit atmosphere and empty seats, and that atmosphere doesn’t matter because we’re top for the league.I’m in 315, I joined in, but literally hundreds, a few thousand others in the stand couldn’t be arsed and that’s what it comes down to.
Weird how we’re all different, because I agree it’s great that we sometimes have a good atmosphere but I really don’t care if it’s crap as long as we win, of course. If it was consistent every game then you wouldn’t remember the good ones, which is part of it.This is the atmosphere thread, and the atmosphere is fucking horrendous!
I don’t care what other sets of fans have a shit atmosphere or a great atmosphere, I go to watch City so I’m only bothered about our atmosphere.
When it’s good, it makes going to the game more enjoyable. Football is 50% the game on the pitch and 50% fan culture… and the fan culture side of things with our home support is desperately poor, therefore people aren’t enjoying that side of going to the game.
Yes, the football is great, we’re top of the league, we’re brilliant… that side of the 50% is fantastic; but the other side of it really isn’t!

I don’t care what other sets of fans have a shit atmosphere or a great atmosphere, i don’t care whether we or anyone else has empty seats (although it just feels and aesthetically looks better when it’s full), I go to watch City so I’m only bothered about our atmosphere.

That’s like saying, it’s alright being mid-table nobodies and getting the odd win against the big clubs every now and again but watch shit football the rest of the time because we’re not getting relegated and we remember the big wins when they come round every so often.Weird how we’re all different, because I agree it’s great that we sometimes have a good atmosphere but I really don’t care if it’s crap as long as we win, of course. Thanks for questioning my intelligence but if you read carefully I have blamed the club in part. As for taking two hours to Glossop I suggest you go a different way. Took me half as long to drive home after Leicester than it did Leeds. Mainly due to less traffic on the road and the fact people left early again. Did you stop on the way for a pint? I have plenty of empathy but explain how, when it suits, we have a full ground at the full whistle but most of the time it’s probably only half full at best. Everyone moans about the beer so why the rush at half time. Can’t people go without and stay in their seats. You don’t see people leaving a theatre or cinema half way through for a pint.Again, having ago at other blues without considering that the club's negligence and fuck ups cause it to begin with.
If you could get a pint at half time, no one would leave at 35. But the service and infrastructure is inept as fuck.
I normally get the train but obviously had to drive today. I live in Glossop - took me almost two hours from the time I got in my car to the time I walked in the door. That's why people leave early. I stayed to the end, but can understand why fans would try to shorten that.
Anyone in here moaning about other supporters is fucking thick as shit... Not only do you have no empathy or understanding of other people's circumstances, but it's immediately condemning the fan rather than looking at the nuance and the root cause.
The club is to blame.
That’s one reason I always want a terrible referee because that’s the only time the rest of the ground join in, when they can moan at the ref.The groan when Leicester got their third goal was louder than a cheer! Default is clearly to moan than support. Sterling knows all about this attitude.
I want to watch the game, if I wanted to jump up and down and open my mouth I would go to Boca Juniors and not watch the game.
People like yourself have this weird concept of what a British atmosphere is supposed to be.
The atmospheres in Britain reflect what is going on on the pitch, always has done and always will do. Today was a mixture of how easy it was for 45 mins followed by how tense it was with the Leicester comeback.
We dominate 90% of games we play for a duration of 90% of each game. It’s enjoyable, it’s fascinating, it’s great viewing.
To say we don’t deserve this team or manager is a crock of shit.
We’ve got big games coming up and the atmosphere will as always for those games be great.
There are other reasons for falling gates nationally but only ours ever get mentioned. Our club could certainly give reduced or even free seats to those who cannot afford to go. Better to have somebody there than nobody and food sales would rise too.Again, having ago at other blues without considering that the club's negligence and fuck ups cause it to begin with.

You are focusing on the wrong thing. What did you make of the performances on the pitch? So a football stadium should be as quiet as ours then?
I hear your outrage. Will you stop going anytime soon? This is the atmosphere thread, and the atmosphere is fucking horrendous!

We’ve been spoilt with success. A lot of fans have lost their passion.
People pay for their tickets and decide how they choose to support the lads. That’s fair enough. Pep and the team do, however, deserve better support from the fans. That won’t happen and we get on with trying to retain the Prem and win the Champs League.
