You don't have a clue what you're on about.I might not know the ins and outs but i think anyone can see the atmosphere hasn't changed one bit since you lot came on the scene.
From my perspective (correct me if I'm wrong) is that you haven't discussed much of anything with the club at all, you've presented ideas and been told what you can and can't do. To be honest a bit of pushback wouldn't be such a bad thing, people are likely to let things slide more than you think, it's just a balancing act between that and not getting banned. Might be hard but it can be done imo
- I'm one of the older ones in 1894 and I'm 28. Some of the guys are older but they have the experience needed for proper dialogue with the club and knowledge of our fanbase further back than the last two decades. We also have a membership that runs into the thousands, so I'm not sure why you're generalising that all of us are old?
- We've had constant dialogue with the club for the best part of a decade.
- We were involved in the £20s plenty campaign that resulted in a £30 cap on away tickets.
- We've been involved in the implementation of rail-seating in England and ensured City were one of the first clubs to utilise it.
- We organised the singing section in 115 which is the most consistently vocal part of the stadium.
- We were involved in organising the bus welcomes over the last few years.
- We had been demanding proper fan engagement with the club for years (this is still ongoing) but now we have City Matters which is a start.
- We've organised dozens of singing sections for cup games and finals.
- We were the only group of fans that planned a display against UEFA. We had the banner inside the ground ready to go against Madrid - some of us (myself included) probably would have been banned in the aftermath but were willing to risk it. We have also produced numerous other anti-UEFA displays that weren't cleared (because UEFA control what we can/can't do in their competitions).
- We supported one of our members who was threatened with a ban for bringing an anti-var poster into the ground - the next home game there were around 200 of these posters in 115.
- There are more changes that will be happening in the South Stand over the next few weeks that we've requested which should help the atmosphere (I can't go into this in more detail right now).
- We organised a protest about ticket prices for our quarter-final against PSG a few years ago - the semi-final vs Madrid was cheaper to attend as a direct result.
- We have raised tens of thousands of £s for charities. We've raised awareness for fan causes. We've supported our fellow fans after incidents abroad (such as collating information from fans affected by the crush at the San Siro a few years ago and reporting to relevant authorities/Reporting police brutality in the Bernabeu to authorities/requesting support from City for blues who got fucked over in Moscow a few years ago). We also represent City fans at numerous fan gatherings (The FSA, Fans Europe, meetings in Westminster, we orchestrated with other big 6 fan groups about the ESL etc).
These are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. I've probably spent thousands of hours on trying to improve the atmosphere and 'matchday experience' at City. But by all means mate, you tell me and the other lads who've gone above and beyond how to do it properly. Or, give your head a wobble, realise that 1894 and it's members are far from the problem, and try to be constructive.
