Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Tickets cost £20 tonight. I paid that for Stockport vs Grimsby two weeks ago!

I know.

What was the crowd?

The ticket system has been f*cked up since the start of the season?

On the OS there were only 800 tickets left for tonights game.

All blocks were greyed out bar CBL3.

You tell me what's going on, when it was obvious L1 and L2 had empty seats, but they couldn't be bought on the OS.

Good again tonight considering there were only a handful of away fans. 1st half was great. 2nd half not as good. Still decent. Great seeing and hearing the East stand corner. It's slowly getting back to what it used to be like. Desperately need some new chants though. Considering the ticket mess, it was a decent crowd. Not sure if it's psychological, but the safe standing barriers, and proper safe standing have definitely improved the atmosphere. And watching City again.
It was good BECAUSE there were no away fans. The two singing ends could hear each other and joined together, making louder songs which sometimes spread.

Sexond half they fell into the clapalongs which never catch on.

Honestly, at this point I actually don't know. It's frustrating, for me and the players and for Pep. All I do know is no one can blame ticket prices for tonight. And the system is new this year but it's been like this long before that system was implemented.

So when they do why aren't the fans who are priced out snapping them up?

we are. But if most season ticket holders can’t be bothered we don’t fill the ground. We don’t have masses of glory hunters to replace us. The majority of people in the ground I’d bet were priced out fans/ people who can’t attends regularly… 6 of us in 119 (4 former season ticket holders)

Because City fans still aren't arsed about the CL, especially in the group stages against Leipzig.

There will be 50,000+ against Southampton at PL ticket prices.

PSG will sell out at PL ticket prices.

Anything above 40k for the opening game of the dull as fuck group stages of the CL is a good turnout. This particular game I would rate as slightly more attractive than say a League Cup 3rd round tie at home to a mid table PL team.

For a few years now I’ve only bothered with the CL knockout stages. I’ll go to a group game if friends or family who dont usually get to a game fancy going but of course this year there’s no fucking chance of organising that. So if attendances are slightly lower than expected for the group stages they’ve only got themselves to blame for making things as awkward as possible for fans

To be honest, I do know. We have 15k - 20k fans who come to league games and don't come to mid-week games, and maybe 5k - 10k fans who come to CL games, and split the difference and we are where we are.

Exactly. So it's not the prices then. It's that fans don't want to come to these games.
