I always point out to people that during the Keegan and Pearce eras when we were just another game for everybody I was a regular at away games in the Premiership, I did the majority of grounds and literally there was no worse atmosphere than Anfield. It’s no coincidence that for years they’d win so many of their big games there and drop points in games that aren’t as attractive. The club as a whole can’t get themselves up for it the majority of the time.

Think about why.lolyou say that, but the last few champions league games haven’t been full of tourists at all. The tickets have been cheap and meant a much more local crowd

Suggestion for future Derby Day banner:
A horses head next to the words “THE ROCK OF GIBRALTAR”
That’s the root of all their problems. I bet most of them wouldn’t even get it because they’re in complete denial that all this mess is Ferguson’s fault!
The thing is he knows that himself. This is the club he loves, by the way!
I loved the ‘Not in my lifetime’ but I’m not sure any neutrals watching on tv would appreciate it. The ‘Rock of Gibraltar’ banner would ring so many bells and induce much laughter. And after all, that’s what we want!

For a dead rubber I thought it was alright tonight.
I'm at ashburys currently. It was either leave on 80 mins and get home to my wife and 20 month old at 10:30, or leave at full time and get home past midnight.
When I left it was more full than most prem games at that time and there were a fair few songs. Considering the reality at other grounds, we are fine.
