Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Never knew that. The barcode that appears when you click on the 3 dots at the top of the page when you access your seasoncard through the Apple wallet?
mines on google pay and it says show code...when you press it a rectangle shape barcode shows

Its not really about what the fans feel about leaving early it’s what the players must feel when they see a half empty stadium after battling for 90 minutes.
They must know the traffic is a nightmare, if I’m home before the final whistle, I’m happy.

Agree with this. I'd also say it could possibly affect potential new signings, if they have a choice between us and another club.

Weak effort

Why?

Hypothetic scenario. Two clubs with a similar chance of winning things, paying similar amounts, offering you a similar importance to the team.

One has fans who stay to the end and cheer the team off, one has a large volume who leave around 80 minutes because beating the traffic is more important.

Who do you pick?

Could be either, and yes it's a daft comparison, but for some it might just swing things. To the untrained observer, who doesn't know our past, what we've been through, how shit the transport around the stadium is - it may just look like we don't give a shit.

Late 90s, once we got over how shit the team was, we got behind what was a mediocre team and helped push them to promotions.

When we were going for out 1st recent title, the media team did a great job of pushing #together - this helped stop us getting on the players backs if things were going wrong. We stuck behind them, supported them and helped them to the title. Small margins mattered and I am fairly sure the fans made at least a points difference.

Now though? Pushing for a winner in an evening game? Yeah, some get behind the team. Lots do in fact, but lots have left early.

It's a shame it's got to this. I k ow everyone has their reasons, but I don't think it helps us in any way, and I don't know how that gets changed back.

fair enough that on a few points...

I think only arsenal equal us the the arrive late, leave early and a half time beer on 35 mins ! It does effect how we are portrayed.

I dont know how it will change, lots of replies are "i paid, i dont give a fuck and will leave when i want"... Helps a lot that !
