Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Madrid semi final in 2016 was the worst thing I've been to when it comes to "bring the noise". CL semi final, all we needed was one goal to take it to extra time and potentially a CL final against Atletico and there was as much noise in the 2nd half as your regular PL game in November. Old Trafford and Anfield are not bouncing all the time, but that would never happen in any PL ground ever. Also, the excuses I've seen on this thread are incredible. However, it Doesn't matter too much anyway, our players won the league with ease without the fans for most of the season.
That was the 2nd leg in Madrid not the Etihad as that ended goalless.

Short of an as yet undiscovered "cure", it is what it is. Better transport/parking will have no effect on "atmosphere", only much cheaper admission can do that, and that will never happen. Gentrification is like a ratchet mechanism, and until it hits the bottom line it will continue to winnow the traditional "working-class fanbase" that we pretend still exists.
Not everyone even thinks there is a problem, they cannot miss what they never had, after all. As BD wrote "for the loser now will soon be to win, for the times they are achanging".....

Anybody else think shooting away from the south stand in the second half effects the atmosphere? Does my head in that we constantly let the away team shoot towards there fans in the second half. Absolutely zero point in doing a toss up at start of the game cus no away captain will ever turn his team around

Absolutely this. It just doesn't make any sense.

Daft fucking question this I know, but am I right in thinking we can’t build a new stadium until the deal we signed in 2003 expires (which I think is 99 years or summat like that) ?

Might seem like the extreme/nuclear option but they made such a mess of this stadium by separating singers, plonking us where the transport links are abysmal, shite acoustics and giving away fans a good vantage point, it either needs a major overhaul or just fucking start again one day!!
