Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

I was an early leaver. By mistake.

My lads got so excited on the final whistle they legged it down the spirals to try to get on the pitch through tier one. I told them to wait at the bottom of the spiral for me, meaning that they needed to check whether they were open or not before leaving. The dicks could see that they were only letting people out but went out anyway, leaving me inside and them outside begging to come back in.

The stewards were total jobsworths, despite me pleading for them to let them in and showing them tickets, so we had to listen to the whole presentation from City Square without the screens on.
Thats tough mate. Kids eh?!
We stayed until they put the lights out. Just a fantastic roller coaster day. If I had written the script beforehand I wouldn't have come up with anything as far fetched as what played out. So many fantastic memories. We should do that after every home game as there wasn't even a queue out of the car park by the time we got there.
Still not convinced by the Aguero statue though :-(

Apologies if this has already been posted on this thread or the post match thread. I just found it on Twitter.

I played this with the volume setting at 50%. Just listen to how loud the Etihad is. Compare it to Sky's coverage. You can draw your own conclusions as to why there's no comparison between the two.

Brilliant!

Brought out goosebumps and a tear to my eye

That eight minutes shows the way we can ramp it up - also interesting to see the different editorial decisions that broadcasters make about sound levels. I do hope the crowd level on arabic commentary is what the players can hear.

Around me at the front of East level 3 there was the normal, mix of encouragers and moaners. By brother had to tell one moaner to just shut up - I'm not usually very vocal when watching, but when I am it's to encourage and as the second half went on we were encouraging more and more - there was a dip when Villa scored their second but it was ramping op even before we scored. After that it was phenomenal - around us I think most people were beginning to believe it could be possible.

I don't think we will ever be the most vocal crowd in the world - and in some ways watching this team makes it difficult - the game is so well controlled that is doesn't always create that end to end action that gets a crowd involved. But when we have to get involved we do.

On a side note - are we the only team to sing "City, City, best team in all the land and all the world.' or variations of it? We always have done for as long as I can remember but I'm not aware of others with a similar along with Invisible man.

Don't you just hate jobsworths. They could of let you back in, they must know how much this win meant to you and your lads.

Always said it, just make noise. You don’t need to sing every song, shout, cheer, boo, clap. Just contribute.

No doubt in my mind that the players fed off that noise on Sunday. We really can be the 12th man.
First time in a long time that I have strained my voice at the match.

Bloke near me leaves every week on 80 mins and he left right after it went to 2-0.

I don’t know if he actually left the ground but he didn’t come back to his seat.
