Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Ultimately it doesnt matter. Doesnt help when Pep moans and he’d best pick his words carefully at todays presser.

But why the club doesnt sell seats at pitch level before selling top of tier 3 is beyond me

The club could do us all a favour by actually releasing the attendance figure for last night. This 38k lie needs putting to bed
We often get accused of releasing attendance figures that don't match how many were in the ground (of course, those doing the accusing tend to be fans of clubs that do the exact same thing because nearly every club reports attendance figures these days as tickets sold/issued rather than turnstile clicks!). However, the 38k figure is the complete opposite as anyone who was at the game will know it was more like 46k.

I can only assume that a certain Peter J Swales has made a comeback and is giving out the attendance figures - expect an announcement of around 32k tomorrow afternoon!

I'll get behind the team as much as I would any other game, the atmosphere has been decent enough in all 3 home games (plus a really, really good end at Leicester) this season
I think the rail seats have helped with spreading the chanting along South Stand L1. Other parts of the ground could join in more. I do my best from 209 lol.

Pep is a total genius. Cup Final atmosphere for what was a routine game now ensured.

Pull the tigers tail and see wgat happens.

Don't think that's in question @Tim of the Oak. PL league champions is something I'd never thought I'd see and I'll be there with my daughter cheering the lads on. As for moaning, I think the fans have a right to moan if I'm honest. Our support is unquestioned, but they feel let down by the club off the pitch administration, which has been Northern Counties League standard at times. But come Saturday and the game starts, all that will be forgotten for 90 mins at least

Pep's comments have been taken out of context. He was merely saying that the players will be tired at the weekend and they will need the fans support. He wasn't complaining about the support at the game the other night or saying that we wouldn't turn up on Saturday.
The problem is that everyone else has already got it in for our fan base and Pep has given them all a stick to beat us with.

If the Club’s PR dept isn’t fully aware of this by this point, and doesn’t TELL Pep he needs to apologize, or fix it, in his Pre-Match Press Conference on Friday, then it’s criminal whatthefuckery!

Pep needs to simply say he apologizes to the tens of thousands of fans who were there and that he understands how difficult the pandemic has been for many of them, many of whom have lost their jobs and have other financial obligations.

In concert with that, the Club announces a simple ”£20/£5” ticket policy for the CL Group Stages will go into immediate effect, with a £5 or £10 “riser” for every subsequent Round. Final ticket sales per UEFA, of course.

We’ve got the most hopeless comms department in the industry.

With about 50 away fans in the away end it means that if the official attendance was 38k then thats 1.2/5 empty seats. There's no way that's true.

In reality the home ends were almost full and you can watch video highlights to show that.

To the Utd fans on here taking the piss, it will rebound on you. All you will do is create a great atmosphere at the ground. Pep is a genius.

Come on city fans. Fortress Eithad.
For any rags fans ;)
