Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

I have a season card but don't commit to the cup schemes but would normally buy if I know I can go. Maybe this is me being an FOC but I tend to find the tickets have gone with virtually no info or emails sent out as to when you can get one.
It was on the website I think there was one day you could get them, I think this a problem. And they should maybe send updates to holders.

Genuine question. Are away supporters officially allowed in home ends? Two guys in front of me in the security queue last night were speaking in Spanish and wearing RM caps, shirts and scarves. A couple of stewards came over and told them to remove their caps and scarves. When they queried why, they were told it was a home end and it was for their own safety. They argued for a bit, took them off while they were scanned and then put them back on before they went through the turnstile watched by the stewards. I later saw them being escorted out after celebrating Madrid's first goal. Now I've sat on my hands many a time in 'wrong' ends, but If I'd have turned up in full colours I wouldn't have expected to be let in.

Its what it is, do you think everyone going to Anfield is a Liverpool fan?

Best would be that everyone is a blue but the club is getting bigger its the price you pay

still think your missing what I’m saying. My annoyance is that there are lots of tickets going to ticket websites/ agencies, which are then being bought by non city fans. That amount of tickets shouldn’t be going on sale like that, preventing actual city fans from getting tickets.

away fans in particular shouldn’t be in the home end.

if the tickets were affordable/ easily accessible I’d bet most of the Crowd would be made up of locals/ our core support, but that’s a separate point

But isn't it like that on every ground ? I am asking I dont have a clue

Yes it is very strange take not welcoming everyone to watch the blues.

CL games has a better atmosphere fewer people leave early. So where lies the problem ?

I am one of these bloody foreigner,
reading some stoff here makes my feel not welcome but when I go to see my beloved blues been since 1977 I am a tourist and I love it .

I would worry mate, the moaners will be picking on us next for not having a manc accent ;)

But having away fans around the home fans happen alot pre covid19 as I use to moan about it

If nothing else, at least night proved again that we can reach really good levels. It’s just the $64,000 question as to how we replicate it in the lower profile games.

A boy in front of me got refused access at turnstiles because he had a madrid top on. There was a row of madrid fans at the back of SS2 think that’s part of hospitality? I’m sure home team has to allow away fans to buy tickets in hospitality for champions league games

I was in level 2 south stand and was chatting with two blokes who normally sit the the Colin Bell stand. They said they want to try the south stand to see what the atmosphere is like in there. They loved it !
I used to be in CB and the atmosphere was subdued to say the least even at the big matches. Moved to the east stand just off kippax corner and never looked back, loads better atmosphere.

I wanted to call someone out in front of me last night, a gang of lads in second tier of family stand.

A group of pissed up lads and one who shouted hit the Yid at Modric, but surrounded by families and with my lad.

Fucking morons.
It just beggars belief that people like that function in every day society.

I’m sure Elon will be welcoming him back to Twitter in the coming weeks
