Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

The history of never having a top flight average attendance below 21k, even amid the shite of the mid-late 80s (selling Waddle, Beardsley, Gazza and relegation etc)?
The history of having a higher all-time average attendance than City despite spending fewer seasons in the top flight, and winning half as many trophies - and none for 50-plus years?
Being a one team city certainly makes a difference.

Eddie Howe said in his post match interview that his players were spooked by the atmosphere.
“The crowd did really well for them” was just one quote
Weird how people perceive things totally differently
Our ground is fine. The rail seating has helped too. I have been everywhere and atmosphere is a myth unless the game really matters.

He did mention the atmosphere and how good it was which was a surprise. It was pretty good. This was due to a mixture of defiance after the Madrid defeat and being buyoud by the scouse scum dropping points. As a fanbase we're at our best in a bit of adversity.

We were given a new tier about with loads of space and season tickets at a good price but loads of people aren’t interested up there. Not sure why an end would be different without really good organisation tbh.

early leavers have always been there, but not to this level. No where near as many people left when Mancini was in charge. We even sang ‘we’re Man City we stay til the end’ …

people can do what they want, but I couldn’t justify spending all that money on a season ticket to then miss large parts of games, just to get home a bit earlier
We really don't help ourselves to be honest. We always fu ck up the aesthetics even with a 50k plus crowd....cups for cock ups in the imafe stakes!

It’s been mentioned a few times on here before but I noticed on Sunday as the atmosphere was building before kick-off the tannoy actually got turned up! Really, what the hell was that about?
It’s infuriating; someone actually thinks it’s a good idea to pump out dance music. Do someone like the 1894 group ever bring this up? Who decides the pre match entertainment. Maybe City Square should be the place for entertainment and let the ground take care of itself.

The Club have done a survey asking if fans noticed any difference with efforts to improve the atmosphere. I gues that’s what they were getting at. I was in SS L1 for a change so could t really gauge the difference.

Im in SS3 and both sets of fans were really making some noise and up went the volume of the tannoy. I was actually listening to it and thought they should kill the noise and then the opposite happened! Completely clear where I was.

Yeah said to my mate in 315 turn the fucking thing off, they did a bit of Hey Jude and that should have been it.

Absolutely stupid isn’t it?

To go along with the magnificent things this football club does, there are some very strange stupid and unfathomable decisions and goings on still.
