Etihad atmosphere

Sort the waiting time out at the bars and let us drink and take drugs in our seats. Then leave it to us to mentor the tourists.
Allow impromptu arm wrestling competitions with showsec staff to resolve issues on the spot.
And other such constructive stuff.

Sounds great - weed out the fucking mard arsed 2012 new boys .

Soft twatted iPad wankers .

I don't get all this reminiscing about the good old days. I don't remember it like that.

We had good atmospheres some of the time but most were shite.

Numbers have been up and down too.

Nowadays we live in world where mobile phones/social media are more important than anything to young people. They are glued to people's hands.

A lot of people who go to watch us now go out of habit. It's nothing to do with the tourists. Our fan base in general is aging.

I can see why people left after the third went in. Just sick of seeing the same old shite defending time after time which has been going on for 18 months now.

Going back to last season we have won 6 out of our last 14 home games in the league. I think that's where the nervousness comes from and the apathy.

Good post, and just to add to the last bit I said at the start of the season we will win more away games then home this season.

had a bit of of a barny with some prick sat in front of me yesterday in south top tier when i was going mad at that referee . he was moaning about me standing up and shouting over his head. never seen him before spent half of the match on his phone . im getting sick of it now and might possibly fuck my season card off next season after nearly 35 years.

club have brought it on themselves, from the early days of moving everyone out of the north stand, to present day of going more and more corporate everywhere you look. The cheesy "match day experience" isn't for me. The facilities are getting worse, getting to and away from the ground is a pain in the arse. The club are making it harder and harder for you to pass on your season cards to family or pals if you can't make a game, It's just seems more of a chore the last couple of years and I think a lot of people are just going out of habit and can't wait to get in then get out.

Also you get the impression if you 'show your feelings' through standing up etc... you're gonna get a ban from the club

It's not just at the Etihad. We were very quiet for much of the game at Burnley as well.

There's more Blues interested in slagging off players than getting behind the team. There's been a really good effort from 1894 but I can't see the atmosphere improving.

It's probably time to stop worrying aboutbthe atmosphere and just accept it for what it is.

Agree. It is what it is. I don't remember seeing too many bouncing atmospheres at Barca and they do ok so Peps only job is to worry about what is happening on the pitch and sorting that out.

The modern day football fan doesn't live and breathe football, they seem to have more important things in life such as how to get out of the stadium on 80 minutes.
