I've been wondering how early would you have to get to the ground to enjoy a pre-match pint and get to your seat in good time?

My guess would be an hour before kick off. Half an hour for the drinks accounting for bar queues and crowds and then the last half our queueing to get in the ground and to your seat or is that not enough time?

I do 30 minutes, plenty of time. The bars are the issue usually, no problem getting to your seat etc

Why do so many miss kickoff then I don't get it?

It would get rid of so many of the sly comments from commentators we get about home games if people were ready before kickoff... in fact it could be one of the things affecting the atmosphere because at most grounds it builds in the run up to kickoff(there's nothing to do but sing some songs and chants).
 
the singing section/1894 group sounded fantastic tonight. i think it makes a huge difference having the whole south stand. "we are city, super city" sounded spine tingling.
 
Well done all you Blues who went tonight, proved it can be done. Looked like we had a full crowd at kick off and no early leavers!

you joking about the whole south stand bit? the section in the usual away end never sang once and didn't even celebrate our goals! may as well have been empty
