The video is awesome and come to think, this time next year it will almost be a reality! (With the added bonus of the extra 3 rows at pitch side!) - I suppose it would be to cheeky to ask for a video showing how the 3 rows will be added in the near future!? Exciting times indeed!

I honestly can't believe any City fan would moan about this.

You aint had the previous pleasure of Drivel then.
Two things:

1. It wasn't a moan, it was just an observational comment on my personal preference. If you read the corresponding posts, by all accounts the club are looking to address my observations either in 2018 or into the 2020's. I just further commented 'wouldn't it make sense just to do it all now'?

2. In respect to you - Empty vessels & all that.

Haha,you soft twat.

It might be an engineering issue, but I don't get why we didn't just go for a symmetrical joining of the seating which would give us a bigger capacity and look better IMO.

There's still gaps between the stands and the top level of seating still slopes down either side. Surely this expansion would have been the ideal opportunity to do this?

Personally I like the look of it being a specific stand rather than a wrap around like Emirates or Wembley, when we do the North Stand the ground will look fantastic with four clearly defined stands.

I agree. Too many stadiums look the same these days and I think our new stands will look brilliant. It will look even better in ten years when we do extend the east and Colin bell stands to a massive bowl shape stadium.

Ca I make an "observational comment"?

You've consistently proved yourself on this forum to be vociferous and opinionated on subjects you know close to nothing about.

And engineering clearly sits alongside football in your lexicon.

That's something that will be sorted in the future according the design doc. The slightly circular shape of the tier will remain but it will be a lot bigger. Similar to the new South tier.

According to the doc, the options are to either demolish the current third tier and rebuild or stitch extra rows onto the existing section.
So I'm 'eventually' going to get my a symmetrical stadium then? Still don't see why they don't help my OCD settle down by doing it all in this faze. We're great a building businesses and football clubs, but rubbish at time & motion efficiency unless I'm still missing summat.

Also I wish they'd draw the design doc in crayon so the average dude can understand it too!! :-)

It will be symmetrical. Just not in as many axes as previously.

Respect to the cameraman for flying through the middle of all that construction work. Very steady hand considering the risk to life and limb.

Very impressive. Watching the video it looks like it will be done without too many disruptions.
