I have a day off work tomorrow, I may take a run up to the ground....
That photo says so much.

Now that the skeleton is in place for the expansion it really is showing just how large that stand will be the East and West dwarfed the South now look at.

I think its pretty well full height now, much of the back wall was in place on Tuesday night (wasn't there on Saturday), so its about the same height as east and west, the new roof may make it slightly higher of course.

I was surprised how big a difference there was between Saturday and Tuesday night, its really going up very quick.

i'm sure some of the other posters will be clued up on this but around 3 months ago it was announced in this thread that there going to drop a minimum of 36 inches, i'm 99% sure there was an official link to the statement, if i get time later i'l do a search for you

I thought it was being lowered by around 200mm but having had a trawl through, the only statement I can find is in the plan of works from 2013.
That states that pitch side facilities and run off areas will be moved/adjusted to accommodate the extra row of seats. There is nothing I can find anywhere to suggest they are going to lower the pitch.

I did however stumble across the below, which may help some people with where we are up to and what next. There really are a multitude of documents and details readily available for anyone who digs a little via public access routes, containing many images and info that have not been discussed on this thread (mainly because they are not very interesting but there are some nice snipets if you dig)

According to this, work is scheduled to start on the roof covering this week

Lets hope its "massive" like the one at the end of Deansgate (yes I know that's half appartments), it'll give united another verse to that song we never hear any more.

Anyone know if the Academy campus is open to the public. i.e. is it possible to have a wander round and have a look

The Hilton @ Beswick, has a ring to it.

If the deal for Asda is really done then management are not aware of it. I know 2 people who work there and they had meetings reassuring staff its all rumours with no substance.

Only conflict of interest would be if he benefited in some way from their performance on the pitch

was thinking more about FFP rules for Madrid. if they need external funding for their stadium redevelopment, sounds like they cant foot the bill themselves. Does the FFP not include stadium redevelopment costs even though, the finished development improves the club financial situation for the club?

how is that different from operating beyond their means, which is the point of FFP?

What are those Silver shiny things that look like Skittles outside Anna Connell sixth form college..
They look good, also very artsy, wouldn't mind knowing who designed them.
