Manchester City become first top flight club to sleep at training complex <a class="postlink" href="http://thetim.es/1CveY1f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://thetim.es/1CveY1f</a>

Manchester City’s first team squad will soon start sleeping at the club’s new training ground on the night before matches at the Etihad Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini, the City manager, and his players have just relocated from the club’s old Carrington headquarters to their new state of the art £200 million “City Football Academy” (CFA) a stone’s throw from the Etihad.

Hopefully we will see a procession of the players walking over the bridge to the Ethiad through a sea of blues
waving flags like reminiscent of a roman triumph,or even a dipperpool league winning welcome like last seasons at klanfield.

Cheers for that Oakie.

However.....a few digs in there by Ladyboy.
I think he's entitled to take a little trip down memory lane. Not as vituperative as his usual fayre imo.

I thought this was a little unnecessary

Hailed – admittedly by City themselves – as one of the best sporting facilities in the world

As much as the man is undoubtedly a cockroach I think you're being a little harsh there. I took it to be pointing out the high standard of the CFA, while also balancing it by admitting that he can only take City's word for it as nobody else has seen it (unless they're on twitter, of course!). In fact, I would almost go as far as to call it journalism. Maybe you should mark this rare event for posterity.

The new South Stand really is going to be massive.(arf) Level 3 is the same height as the lower edge of the old roof. Level 5 is under the concrete steps.(now visible in the picture) Above that is the stand itself where the seats will be. And above that will be a much higher roof than the current one. Until you actually see the stand up close, you don't realize just how high it currently is, and how high it will be when it's finished.(using your imagination)
