Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

I noticed they've started to do work on the canal towpath up in the clayton area (the strip between the Bridge pub and Ciba was obviously a taster of things to come), presumably it's to do with the monies that was designated for extra cycle paths (was it £20mills) a while back (Ashton to town being one of the designated routes)

So you want to deprive an extra 5K new cheap season ticket holders so you can stay in your seat!
You really think the club are interested in cheaper seats?

Not a chance, it will be a token offer like the £299 (previously £250) season tickets
How many £299 tickets on token offer do you think there are?

Was in Abu Dhabi and someone ( cant remember through the alcohol ) mentioned that City would like to follow the New York Yankees model....there is a seat price for everyone.Moving people out of Level 2 is part of this I suspect but I suppose it will depend on supply and demand.Even at £299 it would bring people in to fill the seats and give a platform for maybe raising prices in the future?

Hope im right but I also hope that some of the 5.1 Billion from the new TV deal will "trickle" down to grassroots as we discussed on the bus last night and that's probably just wishful thinking as well!

250, maybe? I'm sure you'll put me right though
with such an arrogant attitude I won't bother

suffice to say, you come in here and slag the club off for something you have absolutely no knowledge

The club are not immune from critisism, I pay my money every season and have a right to slag any aspect of the club off I want,as do you and any other fan
ok I don't have the exact numbers but they are obviously used as a marketing tool so it appears to the media that we're knocking out these super cheap STs when in fact prices are on the up and up especially for a one off game
As for being arrogant, I'm far too important for that

Putting ticket prices up for the odd game is important as it shows the value in buying a season ticket. I'd look around at the prices of tickets elsewhere and then look at what you pay to see the side that has been most consistent in the league over the past 4 seasons... it's value for money in that sense.

There will be cheaper season tickets and with improved hospitality and a higher capacity the club can stabilise prices. The more people that come to games, the more revenue generated.

Its interesting that now, after several years of this thread there is still no substantive information as to what the developments will be on the collar site.

There have been some informed 'overview' posts but nothing specific.

My partner and step daughter thought they were safe.(level 2)

They informed me tonight they aren't, and will have to move as they can't afford the new prices on level 2 next season.

Both aren't happy about moving, as they like their seats and the view of the match, but what can they do?

In 201 I have a stay of execution - I suspect they'll rise to pushing £1,500 when they get around to completing the North Stand Expansion - and I'll have a decision to make... if City will do a monthly direct debit (rather than the four bi-monthly payments) I think I can hang on...

Welcome to the harsh reality of Market forces, however there are thousands of blues who have already been priced out altogether let alone just having to move to another area of the ground.

Indeed. Even the match day tickets are getting close to the point where I can't justify the outlay any more. £50 for a ticket for Newcastle next weekend. Couple that with air fares and hotel accommodation (neither of which are the club's doing, granted) and the weekend will knock me back somewhere between £200 - £250. It's gradually becoming a rich man's hobby now.
