Just imagine a 100k stadium

I think not my fault might have his wires crossed a bit. There was talk of a 100k stadium but it would have been where the CFA is now. When ADUG took over, they weren't that impressed with the current stadium so they asked an architect to draw up three potential schemes. One was the one we have now, which is an expansion of the current stadium. The others were a 75-80k seater on the North Car Park or the 100k one. They would have preferred a brand new stadium but legal/contract issues with the council and Sport England meant we couldn't leave The Etihad. so we are where we are but The Etihad will never be a 100k seater stadium.

Anyone know if the new cladding is just for the new stand or if it is for the whole stadium?

Thanks for putting the new pictures up mate. IMO the new curve from the side stands to the extended South Stand is starting to look really good now. The stand itself is really imposing from Ashton New Road and once the boarding is taken away it will look fantastic. Bring on the new season!
