Hope it doesn't affect players focus watching people eat a steak dinner in front of them as they wait for the nod from the ref.

Don't think you will be far off with that. They want it full and don't be surprised to see some subtle differences to the south stand. Text someone working on it tonight and he said it's slightly different to the south. I will post more on it tommorrow when I have spoken to him.

I'm hoping for maybe one huge style kop stand - our new singing end, or one large second tier. something that gives our stand a bit more identity..... i dont want the same as the south stand i.e. arsenals ground

That's so scary. Not just because my wife and I use Vivid as a pit stop if we walk into town along that canal from Ashton. The building I work in a huge piece of lead blew off it in gales in the centre of town. So lucky nobody was killed.

The buildings next door - look like sandstone houses were finished last year with no fire stopping installed. Having to remove all the bricks and strip back down to the timber frame!

That sandstonesque building looked half bonny when it was finished, except fire stopping was not the only thing overlooked, there was no external electrical provision/point for lighting and folk started to have it installed....surface work...black cabling...the sky dish boys added to the mayhem and the external sandstone effect morphed into a snakes and ladders board..

We recently opened a high profile leisure centre in Mcr, with no balcony glazed handrailing to the seats. Our Contractor claimed it was never on the drawings.
It was of course, also on file were his subbies fabrication drawings, signed and checked.
THe centre opened with a tarpaulin and rope in place.

Sounds like a good look.

Not suprised - no budget as the contractor hadn't priced for it.
Strangely enough he had. Fully listed and priced in the bid docs...They even knew how much it would have ...and ultimately did cost them. 11 large. Just a contractors bean counter trying to score points as the job finished.

Am I the only one thinking this glass tunnel to watch players get ready is an awful idea?
Am I missing something?

"ooh we saw the players stretching and jumping on the spot BEFORE they came out"
Is that it?

Having a live feed of the tunnel to the large screens is enough if people want that.

I agree but unfortunately in the corporate world that football has become more and more of this will happen. If it makes a few more million per season it will happen.

It's just more of the same really. In Rugby, they new have footage inside the dressing room at half time! (that may come to football eventually).
The tunnel cam etc as all just an attempt to add a bit more tension and satisfy the idle curiosity of fans who wonder how players act when they arrive at the stadium or come off the pitch etc.
Football is rapidly becoming more about entertainment than pure sporting endeavour.

At music concerts, they now have 'VIP' areas and 'side of stage' deals just to make more money and make people think they're getting something special. If they've got money to burn and want to pay to see the players in the tunnel, let them. I just wish it could help to make my season ticket a little cheaper rather than play the players a little more.
