The fightback from the club begins, two incredibly positive articles in the Daily Mail about the future, high time the club went on the front foot.

I have the feeling we are in for one hell of a summer.

I haven't heard of it being used for rugby union. It used to be the home ground for Manchester Rangers, a rugby league side that was set up and played in the fourth or fifth tier of the English RL structure with ambitions to grow the club and rise to the higher divisions, but unfortunately they disbanded.

Part of the deal with the RFL moving its main offices to the campus was supposed to be that they'd have use of the athletics stadium for representative games - for example, at youth and junior levels - for which they didn't expect much of a crowd. I don't know whether they've actually yet used it for that purpose, but it's likely to host occasional rugby league games in the future.

It's also quite frequently used for athletics. Four different local athletics clubs each train there once a week, it hosts occasional national and regional athletics meets (again, at school and youth levels, mainly), and is available for community use by schools and colleges, as well.

Any idea when we will see the final design mate?

A ‘managed’ sequence of major ‘reveals’ will be used to maximise impact.

These will include-:
Stadium
Erling contract extension
Jude Bellingham ( + 2 others )

We will also see a significant and sequenced shift in our PR policy and relationship with all statutory bodies, rivals and detractors....the gloves are being slipped off and muzzles loosened.

Not sure that counts as a reveal of
final stadium expansion designs, an Erling contract extension or Jude Bellingham signing announcement.

Ha. I read through the replies and some are predictably pathetic with jibes on empty seats. It’s all many have left alongside the jibe on being Chumps Lge failures. Thousands of hateful 8 fans will read about this and mourn. What a statement from the owners, what a time to be a blue. Hope I survive long enough to see it all in its final glory.
