What a transport system we had back then...
Before Metrolink: Manchester's lost great tram system
It’s hard to believe that just a short distance underneath the streets we walk on every day lies an intricate maze of steel which was once home to Manchester’s first tram system.www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Not to forget the trolley buses that I remember seeing in town as a nipper, especially around Stevenson Square. I believe they were introduced to replace trams and ran until the mid 1960's.What a transport system we had back then...

Or Lord North St, but I'm guessing these are due to the congestion created by motorists getting to/from these locations.Still can’t understand why they have included Riverpark Rd there are no houses on there
I have a Pink Elephant for sale, if you are interested. The idea is clearly to upgrade these areas in the future and getting parking restrictions in now before selling off the land to developers. Plus try to reduce the traffic coming into the wider area. It’s bad enough as it is now on matchdays but throw an event in at the arena and it really will need better control. I’m still hopeful that it will lead to better public transport myself but probably too optimistic.
