The consultation documents said something about the proposed development being able use the existing strong public transport infrastructure.

I interpreted that as saying "we don't see the need to spend any money helping to reinforce existing infrastructure".

Hopefully the City Council or other parts of the Planning process will require some significant additional investment of some kind. Otherwise, getting to and/or from the ground for certain matches could become a lot more challenging.
 
Anyone know why the cost (at least the one quoted with the BAM construction news) had halved from £300 million to £150 million?

So, they're holding a drop-in event on Monday at which they'll showcase the "updated plans for an exciting new arena". Anyone on here fancy going down there and reporting back to us?
