Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

They need to improve the transport links for sure. Get that ardwick viaduct curve reinstated add a station next to the athletics arena and you have a purpose made new loop line into the City centre.
Central government have already pointed to infrastructure spend but after years of austerity its difficult to really believe it will happen. If government wont fix our cities move into them. That way you don't need a car, and so many problems revolve around cars: parking, insurance, maintenance, fuel.

The proposed income, would it be from rent, sale of the land, incidental income from sales. Possible hotel built by City.
Any idea of possible income levels.

ADUG own the land in the joint venture with Manchester City Council.

CFG went into a partnership with Oak View Group last summer re the development and Oak View are fully funding the project.

CFG/MCC are effectively landlords and will derive income from the lease agreement - so yes it is rent. According to the FT this is split 80% CFG and 20% MCC.

All other income directly from the new arena is Oak View's albeit there have to be other spin offs for CFG/MCC.

For the record, Oak View Group the capital providers for the new 23,500 concert venue bought a 10% share holding in Manchester City in 2019.
It will be interesting to see who will operate the venue.

That's wrong mate.

Silver Lake bought the 10% share holding in CFG.

Silver Lake also invested $100mil in Oak View Group but, as per my post above, Oak View are fully funding the capital cost of the build.

Great info, so if were ever allowed to go out again this is a nice earner for City . Would also expect a much better car parking arrangement as well .
