Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

They're building a Starbucks on the corner of Asda car park. Must be the world class tourist attraction people were talking about...

On a serious note, not sure if it means anything or nothing that Starbucks have chosen to build there, may be a sign of more investment coming to the area?

Its just Asda renting the land out. They’ve done the same as Ashton.

Looks like the Merc garage near the player entrance is closing down, any idea of whats gonna happen to the site?

Could be wrong but I think that site was earmarked for a hotel - in some earlier plans but the whole site is quite fluid with the stop start nature of the painfully slow redevelopment.

The parties would not disclose the value of CFG’s investment but confirmed that it was now an equal partner in the £350m project with OVG.

“Co-op Live unlocks the potential for the Etihad Campus to grow as an entertainment destination that creates more reasons for the nation and world to visit Manchester,” said Marty Edelman, board director at City Football Group.
