That's fantastic because it could open up a lot of sponsorship and hospitality revenue. In any case it looks like FFP is being scrapped in favour of some sort of wages control which should not do us that much damage if it is applied fairly to all clubs.
It will do us damage, only in the sense if transfer fees are capped and wages also, then some of the 'istree' clubs will feel their supposed glamour will leave some players choosing them purely out of reputation.
It's a win win for those clubs, as they don't have to pay any extra for the privelege.
As long as City are winning on the field and have a manager such as Pep, it will level things up, perhaps.
If anything, a control on fees and wages makes it a closed shop of a different kind.
