Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Seems very much like he was asked to leave due to his comments about grass roots venues more than due to issues about the opening. His successor though used to manage the 02 so don't expect much fallout from this and things should pretty much continue as planned

Imagine it was probably a bit of everything.

Absolutely piss poor, it was pure greed that they kept on booking acts when they knew they had no chance of it being ready to open, I'm at Liam Gallagher at the end of June and I think he was one of the first to be booked from what I've been told from a contact, at the time I got tickets he advised to book for the last date if I could...

The first cancellation was understandable however once you do that you ensure that you leave enough time and allow for contingencies to ensure that whatever is then planned can go ahead as scheduled.

When a week later your having to announce the same news as a week ago it makes you you look a bit incompetent and I'm pretty sure those planning to see the first few acts are left in limbo wondering if they will go ahead or whether we await the next round of cancellations.

Whatever the reasons are one thing is for sure they can't afford anymore setbacks.

Probably useless information...

But received an email today stating that the Women's home match v Arsenal (5th May 14:15) is scheduled for the same day Keane are 'supposedly' performing at Co-op Live and whilst they don't anticipate any cross over of fans/concert goers, they have moved the match day parking from Blue to Orange car park (same number of spaces made available)

What a mess.
Just cancel everything until it's finished, Manchester and Arenas have had enough disasters, another in these circumstances would be an utter nightmare.

Get the Arena finished and sparkling and open in style.

Great news, at least it delays the inevitable Transport nightmare when it does open. Hopefully delayed to after the West Ham game
