Off topic I know but what a mess the MEN website is. I can’t read articles on my mobile as it’s a constant fight to scroll down (the pages seem to keep reloading and jumping back upwards), my thumb is getting RSI. Then there’s popups and stupid ads.

Yep, that is one dogshite website, virtually unreadable at times.

It's utter shite! Been like that for years. Nothing but ads. I gave up reading the MEN website years ago. I honestly don't know how many people/readers bother with it. If I was looking to place an ad in it, I wouldn't bother. The online traffic/clicks must be sh*t.

I get that they won't visit the shop but City make more from the summer concerts at the bar than during the season. The guy who ran the catering said they made 20% more than the whole season at the Take That concerts a few years back and I doubt Liam Gallagher or Ed Sheeran fans were tea total this year.

If they want to make money reduce the number of season tickets and charge standard matchday prices like the dippers. Let the non-renewers seats be available on a match by match basis, that'll double the income from the seat.

Make the non family, family stand people move into the general population, that'll be another chunk of cash and manage the stand for the younger fans to attend.

They can make more money if they want to, Corporate might be a lesser evil

For Take That they sold more Champagne than for any other event at the stadium due to the demographic of the audience.

Done a couple of times there and I used to see the towers until the M1 was extended the they were gone. Not sure if it was the motorway that saved me half hour or the car that I was in.
 
For Magic Weekend there was no one using the bars due to the horrific pricing and the possibility of getting pass outs.

It seems a different set up depending on the event, or at least used to be, different stuff on sale (even less choice) and add a quid to everything at least.
