Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

They must of nearly walked passed the Grove which has no problems with away fans, can't they use Google search.
Had to Google The Grove.

Appears to be wrong side of the ground if they have walked from the City centre, pity as it looks better than the 3 remaining Pubs I can think off.

That is shite to be fair isnt it?
Very true mate it's shite, but unfortunately football games alone will not sustain a pub business in the local areas, so many have closed even as our crowds increased.
Away fans could easily walk to the Etihad and not pass a single watering hole. We used to get Sunderland fans in the Wheatchief in Failsworth as they came off Broadway sadly that's gone and so have they, the club is probably delighted there's no pubs as they will drink the piss in the stadium.

yeah from a commercial point of view the club will be delighted!

I don't get this attitude towards City Square.

Personly I can walk right past the 5 a side, table tennis and everything else and straight into the stage side Bar area, get a drink sit down in the sun (lovely when the suns out) and meet me mate. Bit of music on or glance at the screen if something interests me.

Rather that than some overcrowded Pub near the ground which are all not the best. Alsations on the roof type Pubs aren't they :-)

The activities are not aimed at Adults but it's good to see young uns enjoying themselves in full City gear.

Must check if Asahi is on next game though.
It's not just City Square is it, it's whatever someone doesn't like, then it's crap and should be scrapped. It doesn't matter if it's not aimed at them.

You see it on threads on here, womens football for instance, they'll post on it that womens football is crap and why do they bother playing or watching it. There's no need for them to even go into the thread in the first place, but people will be people sadly. I wonder how many of the idiots go to womens games and complain to everybody that it's rubbish?

Can go in the Waldorf and get the coach to the ground, no problem with away supporters in there.

I listened to their video. It was a little long winded but pretty fair.
For away matches I usually know which pubs I am going to and how I am getting to the game from there.
Leicester I go to the Rutland and Derby and 15 minute walk, difficult to get nearer.
For Villa in a couple of weeks I go to the Aston Hotel, 5 minutes away, and book a room.
So if they had done a little research they could have found a pub, or gone in the Squash club 2 minutes to walk to their turnstiles. Or as you say the Waldorf.

They both took themselves a little seriously, hoping for stardom on Sky or something. But far from the worst bloggers.

Enjoy Newcastle

Liked that video, nice blokes and very complementary about City and our fans which is a nice change from the media angle. Pre-match if you rock up to the ground and park nearby then you'll be disappointed particularly if you are in full kit. But that will be the case in the majority of places they go. If they had have headed into town and strolled out to the ground they'd have had a much better time of it before the game, but if they stay up they can have another crack next season.

I think they're quite right that we'll rise up the rankings as the season goes on. The atmosphere was definitely helped by it being our first home game of the season.
