Couldn’t find a pub in Manchester ???
They will enjoy themselves when they get to the Bishop's Blaize. Good luck with the friendly locals round Anfield as well.Couldn’t find a pub in Manchester ???
Could have gone in Mary D’s :-)They will enjoy themselves when they get to the Bishop's Blaize. Good luck with the friendly locals round Anfield as well.
I actually went in Mary D's years ago with a friend and his Chelsea pals. I think it was the game where Anelka scored. We were all pissed (as you have to be in Mary Ds). Anyway they loved it in there!Could have gone in Mary D’s :-)
They must of nearly walked passed the Grove which has no problems with away fans, can't they use Google search. They went there because away fans aren’t allocated an away pub near the ground, because even home fans have a pitiful amount of pubs around the ground.
Those lads aren’t getting in anywhere decent in Town with Bournemouth shirts on so fans like that are stumped. They have to just get down to the Etihad and in the ground really.
Not sure anybody really gives a shit about that weird Yonner egg chucking sport that is only played along the M62That’s a very good video. In fact, that’s the best fan video I’ve ever seen.
I found their views on the pre-match stuff very honest and do agree with them; “this will be the worst pre-match experience of the season, I hated it, 2 out of 10”.
The reasons he gives for that are the main reasons I think we lost the Super League Magic Weekend to St James’ Park in Newcastle and exactly why I don’t like it: Too far out of the city centre, nowhere near enough pubs around the ground (to the point that it pisses me off), feels like a kids theme park, aimed at kids even though about 90% of the people attending the game are adults.
City Square is bobbins if you’re not a six year old first time visitor, and could be miles better than it is. I make an effort to avoid it and would even rather just stand around on a random street somewhere close to the stadium doing absolutely nothing than go to City Sq.
All of the positives they give about the atmosphere and our fans being decent people are nice of them n’all. Bournemouth seem a sound bunch, and these lads are knowledgable and not a hint of bitterness.

I think they meant near the ground and set up for away fans only. When I go to away matches there's usually a bar nearby catering for away fans. Not the case by us.Couldn’t find a pub in Manchester ???

Had to Google The Grove. They must of nearly walked passed the Grove which has no problems with away fans, can't they use Google search.
Can go in the Waldorf and get the coach to the ground, no problem with away supporters in there.I think they meant near the ground and set up for away fans only. When I go to away matches there's usually a bar nearby catering for away fans. Not the case by us.
Very true mate it's shite, but unfortunately football games alone will not sustain a pub business in the local areas, so many have closed even as our crowds increased. That is shite to be fair isnt it?

Away fans could easily walk to the Etihad and not pass a single watering hole. We used to get Sunderland fans in the Wheatchief in Failsworth as they came off Broadway sadly that's gone and so have they, the club is probably delighted there's no pubs as they will drink the piss in the stadium.
It's not just City Square is it, it's whatever someone doesn't like, then it's crap and should be scrapped. It doesn't matter if it's not aimed at them.I don't get this attitude towards City Square.
Personly I can walk right past the 5 a side, table tennis and everything else and straight into the stage side Bar area, get a drink sit down in the sun (lovely when the suns out) and meet me mate. Bit of music on or glance at the screen if something interests me.
Rather that than some overcrowded Pub near the ground which are all not the best. Alsations on the roof type Pubs aren't they :-)
The activities are not aimed at Adults but it's good to see young uns enjoying themselves in full City gear.
Must check if Asahi is on next game though.

They didn't.Had to Google The Grove.
Appears to be wrong side of the ground if they have walked from the City centre, pity as it looks better than the 3 remaining Pubs I can think off.
