Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

They went there because away fans aren’t allocated an away pub near the ground, because even home fans have a pitiful amount of pubs around the ground.

Those lads aren’t getting in anywhere decent in Town with Bournemouth shirts on so fans like that are stumped. They have to just get down to the Etihad and in the ground really.
They must of nearly walked passed the Grove which has no problems with away fans, can't they use Google search.

The time they got there they could've easily got a drink in Mary D's, The Townley or Corner Shop, maybe not with a Bournemouth shirt on but that's not unusual for wherever you go.

That part of the vid' is a bit daft tbf, no way is a Pub assigned to away Fans that might have about 20 looking for a drink. Even on the concourse there was hardly any fans getting a drink.

This wasn't some FA cup tie where a big Club is in Town and giving a smaller Club its biggest gate of the season.

Maybe they'll do a bit of research before next season ;-)

That’s a very good video. In fact, that’s the best fan video I’ve ever seen.

I found their views on the pre-match stuff very honest and do agree with them; “this will be the worst pre-match experience of the season, I hated it, 2 out of 10”.

The reasons he gives for that are the main reasons I think we lost the Super League Magic Weekend to St James’ Park in Newcastle and exactly why I don’t like it: Too far out of the city centre, nowhere near enough pubs around the ground (to the point that it pisses me off), feels like a kids theme park, aimed at kids even though about 90% of the people attending the game are adults.

City Square is bobbins if you’re not a six year old first time visitor, and could be miles better than it is. I make an effort to avoid it and would even rather just stand around on a random street somewhere close to the stadium doing absolutely nothing than go to City Sq.

All of the positives they give about the atmosphere and our fans being decent people are nice of them n’all. Bournemouth seem a sound bunch, and these lads are knowledgable and not a hint of bitterness.
Not sure anybody really gives a shit about that weird Yonner egg chucking sport that is only played along the M62

I don't get this attitude towards City Square.

Personly I can walk right past the 5 a side, table tennis and everything else and straight into the stage side Bar area, get a drink sit down in the sun (lovely when the suns out) and meet me mate. Bit of music on or glance at the screen if something interests me.

Rather that than some overcrowded Pub near the ground which are all not the best. Alsations on the roof type Pubs aren't they :-)

The activities are not aimed at Adults but it's good to see young uns enjoying themselves in full City gear.

Must check if Asahi is on next game though.
