Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Just briefly seen a couple of links to the CEO job being placed on hold (Soriano no longer considered...). Not sure if it's a rehash or something about to be announced...at least one of the links (the lovely Daily Fail) is dead...

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

..and there's a new PDF plan floating around the ether at the moment - confirms all the architects/partners on board for the training complex with (I presume) an image that hasn't been shown before?

Was a rumour the other day that Cook has been seen hanging around the club again! Maybe we are ringing him back on board in the role of CEO again.

Just seen this on the MEN, haven't seen it on this thread I don't think.

Could an announcement about their plans be in the offing I wonder? Especially given the reference to the Etihad being a "365 day-a-year destination".

Amaze PR has scored a Premier League account to promote Manchester City's Etihad Stadium to potential visitors.

The Manchester agency won a six-way competitive pitch for a programme of promotional activity, including raising awareness of the club’s two most premium hospitality suites.

The newly named Connell Club will replace the club’s fine dining Boardroom offer, while The Mancunian will be overhauled to become a new, stylish setting celebrating Manchester music and people.

Amaze, which has offices in Manchester and London, will deliver a number of other projects to publicise the Etihad Stadium, bringing it into line with the stature of the Club.

Amaze PR Director Sandra McDowell said: “This is a fantastic win for us – it will be a pleasure working for a brand with such a strong heritage in Manchester and one that is forward-thinking both on and off the pitch.

“We’re looking forward to using our expertise in PR and brand engagement to drive awareness of the Etihad Stadium as an innovative 365 day-a-year event destination.”

Justice Ellis, marketing manager at Manchester City FC, said: “We conducted a thorough pitch process, and the standard of submissions was incredibly high, but when it came down to it, Amaze were best at demonstrating their understanding of our brand.

“That, along with and their creativity and passion really made the team stand out.”

Somapop. Anymore clues regarding that elusive PDF? Nothing new coming up on Google, PDF, etc, wise.

Anyway.

Can't be 100% sure these haven't been posted before. Probably have but they don't ring a bell. The first one rings a tiny bell.

Well after Rics suggestion a new CEO will be in place by Friday I'd suggest that report could also be bollocks!

Perhaps it's my service provider playing 'silly buggers' but are you getting an image of a 'red' team in that article?

Aye - read that Ric quote...I think anything pointing to an appointment of new CEO (especially a commercial guy like this 'Lou Ferrigno') might mean the commercial developments are but a hop and skip away?

JRB - think that's pretty much what I saw, but it listed the involved architects and parties (confirming Vinoly is indeed on board - still confused about that as aside from the bridge, we aren't really seeing any 'world class' architecture in the academy side at least...).

I posted a PDF on the Manchester forum of Skyscrapercity. Document shows a 3D rendered image of the training academy and lists the parties involved in the design & construction of the academy.

Lead architect: Vinoly Architects (London)
Associate architect: AEDAS (Manchester)
Development manager: Ask Developments (Manchester)
Structural engineer: Capita Symonds
Bridge: Schlaich Bergermann (New York)
Environmental engineer: BDP (Manchester)
Landscape: Planit (Altrincham)
Contractor: BAM Construction
