I'm hoping we hear some official news once the CEO starts work.

Pretty sure the Training Ground development and plans for the ground will be a priority
All training ground development plans are pretty much in place now.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

I would to see a situation where we could increase the capacity to say 65k and have a significantly reduced rate for young kids say up to 14 years old, something like a fiver to get in.

Giving even more incentive and opportunity for the next generation of fans to become blues.

Our tickets for under 16's are already amongst the cheapest in the country, not just the PL. the club realise that we lost a generation of fans to the Rags and this is why they place so much emphasis on the kids of today.

I wasn't calling Any fans plastics..........

You were.

Meh.
Whoever is welcome to support this club, and they can support it how they see fit.

But this wasn't my main point anyway, my point was how beneficial "plastics" are to the capacity increase, and the more plastics the less atmosphere we'll get - and this is evidently seen in the swamp.
I was providing what I see as a viable solution... the plastics can have their cosey seated areas, with the flask and blanket for Mavis.
We'll have the Rail Standing area, and stand backing this team all the way.

Some fans forget (or don't even know) what the players get off on in terms of encouragement thus leading to better performances.

Cable net is still there as the front of the roof is still actually the same level as is now, its the rainwater run off that doesn't work

But the sightlines actually will be absolutely fine from the very back of the new end third tiers

The drawings are nothing more than copies of the Arup Originals (available on the internet) with judicious cut/paste/retouch/recolour for the green (new) bits

Good effort and you must have spent sometime on this

Sorry to be a pest but really interested in any ideas as I find it hard to understand how the stadium can be extended without a completely new roof, also any new roof cannot be totally supported by the existing structure.

If the CableNet is still at the same level, then is this not lower than the back row? I cant count on your sketches but how many additional rows and how many additional seats?

I have this mad idea that they will build a structure similar to the Ferrari world encompassing and extended stadium and the collar site If I could find enough info Id so a layout on CAD to see if its feasible.

Have a look at the South Stand when you are there on Saturday. Draw an imaginary line from 5 m above the opposite goal to the inside diameter of the roof.

You can fit quite a few seats in and still see the action, cant you? You might even stand a chance of staying dry!

This picture might help <a class="postlink" href="http://www.panoramio.com/m/photo/56261869" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.panoramio.com/m/photo/56261869</a>

Had a look today and I think I see what you mean... The 2nd tier could be extended upwards quite a long way. Almost to the same level as the 3rd tier... But I guess that would mean the roof would have to slope up and out from the pitch instead of down towards the outside. Like a saddle. If that makes any sense?

Kinda like the velodrome in London...?

Everyone has their own way of supporting the club.

Personally, I'd rather be in an empty stadium with a small group of fans who would sing and cheer, rather than a packed out stadium where everyone is sat down, politely clapping and not singing.

Just wait till you've had back surgery and need a new hip, you won't be stood up then lol!!
