There were rumours that the land it sits on was to become part of the Etihad Campus. Not earth shattering i know but it does still suggest things are relatively fluid in terms of the enlarged area and what is being proposed for it. Anybody else shed anymore light?
Hmmm...interesting. I (amongst a fair few I guess) have been led to believe chunks of land are being purchased by the day and this Mercedes garage would be a minor brush aside in terms of it relocating (there are business links between Mercedes and Mansour, at least in terms of shares held apparently?). Whether it's Mercedes pusing up their worth of land or not...god knows?!
Aabar owns 9.1% of Daimler-Benz yes..But from that to a garage in Manchester ;-)

Land has and is being purchased by the club or companies associated with it and that is perfectly logical as once the developments are started the cost of the same land will sky rocket.
It is also perfectly logical to allow the expansion of a site that may not be bought/developed for several years as long as a price is agreed beforehand.
That means that Merc' will earn more for now and then relocate rather than the club having a bit of land that remains fallow for many years.
That said I dont know for definite that the Merc' garage will definitely go.
