Asda brings people to the area and shows the full sports facilities surrounding it. The National Cycling centre, MCFC and more. perfect advertisement that City embraces the local area.

ASDA brings local people to the area to buy groceries, nothing more nothing less

You would think people stay away from ASDA on matchdays, and would think it would be in ASDA's interest to sell to us and move away from the ground.

have you ever been in asda on a matchday? its quite busy whenever Ive been in, if anything its more in asda's interest to be near our ground with more potential for more customers

No I havn't to be honest, I was just going of I would stay well away from match day traffic if I wasnt going to a game.

I used to live in Droylsden pal. Monday to Friday ASDA Eastlands is pretty quiet. Only ever busy at Weekends, when the local people do their shopping.

exactly, especially with the new academy, any new developments around the area and with an expanded stadium, especially as they can offer cheaper products than City.

Asda top brass will be warming their hands with glee over this development and the continuing redevelopment around the stadium. You can have a go at Asda all you like, at the end of the day, they pulled they're finger out. They didn't need to built the new store with the Longsight Asda just down the road and they were one of the few companies who believed in east Manchester. It now it looks like their faith in the area is being repaid.

These chaps took the pictures of the Aniline site. They also took the pictures of the Collar site next to the Etihad/City of Manchester Stadium.

i remember a thread or a comment that there was a model of the proposed new stadium on Gary Cooks desk or some other high up fucker ?

anyone else remember this ?

Cook had 1 or more stadium expansion/rebuild designs on his laptop a couple of years back, he showed to them my mate on the train. Can't remember if I posted at the time.
