Question.

Does anyone know or remember why the bridge design was changed?

Did we ever get to the bottom of it or is it still a mystery?

Thanks.

I think in the previous design the bridge was too tall, they wanted a clear view of the stadium from the campus.....

I thought it was to allow a potential spur of the MetroLink effort - should they ever run one from the Oldham line up towards stadium and around to Ashburys/Stockport link.

It's started.

Wooden hoardings next to the spirals.(picture on it's way later today)

I mentioned it was starting a couple of pages back, hoardings will be quite close to the edge of the fenceline whilst testing is taking place, then they move onto the North Stand.

Was'nt it said they did'nt want the design (was it £50millions worth-training and bridge was reported to be £150mills) to impose on what was going on the collar site and so it was down-graded to a more Mankyway aesthetic

I went to try and get a photo of the spiral last night before the game but as the third tier (appeared) shut I couldn't get across from the NE spiral to the SE one to take the overhead shot.

Last night.

Corner of South Stand.

Click twice to enlarge.

I thought it may have been because, if you looked at it from above, it looked like most of the Born Again Christian's fish motif...??

Anyone able to give a best estimate as to when matches will be played at the 'mini stadium'?

Are there any plans to have open days, once open?

Which City teams are likely to play there?

Any info would be appreciated.
