Etihad sponsorship

I would imagine the various shirt and stadium/campus sponsorships will be split off at some point. The arena will be an absolute money printing machine, especially if we also have an involvement in associated infrastructure eg hotels, food and drink outlets etc. Could even be a training kit or sleeve sponsor if not the main shirt logo but would make sense to integrate it in some fashion
The Manchester Arena used to boast about having 1000,000 visitors a year and the profit was around £5 per visitor.

It isn't big business, unless it is some world wide group owning a load of them under the same brand it would make zero sense.

If we could change from Etihad to a non UAE related company (with a higher rate) that I think the lobby of Liverpool, United, Bayern, Juve would hate us so much more.

Ali Baba Arena. :)

Maybe we are not negotiating currently but we need to very soon maybe Silver Lake can pull some strings to get some top company from US.

A great CL run would help it a lot imo this season, the whole world will watch he drama unfold in the space of couple of days in August with 1 match deciding every round, perfect exposure so to say with no league games in and around. to reach a final beating off the likes of Real, Juve, Bayern thats a fucking statement which Guardiola must be dreaming of currently.
And the academy stadium could be The Ali-express arena?

So the Etihad deal ran out end of June, are we not having any sponsorship currently or they just renewed in the background with no media fanfare around it?

My guess would be that ist just rolling forward until something is sorted. They will be paying I have no doubt.

Maybe waiting to see if they can afford it when the Messi deal gets done

On that point, maybe just rolling month to month until we've done our business this summer with an A, B or C amount pencilled in depending on who we bring in.
I can't see any company agreeing a sponsorship on a rolling monthly basis, more likely they've agreed a 1 years extension and we'll see where we both stand next year.
