With United getting a new one in to replace Chevrolet at a lower rate I wonder when City will confirm who is the new shirt sponsor for us in next couple of years.

We must get a great one in and this season is just in the right time to negotiate the deal with being still alive in all 4 competitions and sitting very comfortably on top of PL.

If Etihad remains I hope they raise whatever they pay us now.

Well 30 days before their sponsorship deal runs out for both shirt sponsor and the stadium naming rights.

Hardly saw any alternative in media, I assume quietly they just renew it dont they. I hope there is some increase in the deals tho, covid is probably against that idea but we are on the back of a good season.

Still hoping Amazon or Tesla coming in with an incredible 150m per year just for shirt sponsor deal :)
and BitCoin Arena for ten trillion bitcoin per year deal for stadium. :)

Not a good time to be looking for big sponsorship deals, Etihad have done us proud, hope they continue.

The issue with that is you alienate customers both current and new just by association.

I refuse to buy any sharp products still.

I wouldn’t buy a Sharp product or a Chevrolet, but I’d struggle to live without Google, Amazon or Apple, such is the influence of these 3 in the digital world, so whilst what you say is definitely factual, the 3 I mention are so ingrained in everyday life, I really don’t think they would alienate any of their customers. But with that in mind, why would they need to sponsor anything for advertising?

Just thinking the same. People seem pretty convinced that these kits are real so Etihad must be with us for at least another season.

Surely it doesn't work that way? Big sponsorship deals have some period ? 3/5 years? in doubt it will be rolling 1 year. Maybe 3 years and once we are our of covid effects completely hopefully we can have new deal

The COVID situation has generated more exposure for Etihad as now every single game is on the tv but on the flip side Etihad’s income has took a nosedive (no pun intended) since the pandemic hit. I’d expect a reduction in what they’re currently paying given the latter point.

Suspect it might be a shorter term extension, maybe 2/3 years. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the new Co-op Live Arena becomes our shirt sponsor at some stage in the future
