The MEPS you voted for represent you in the EP, it's no different.

Here's your quote from a few pages back again

So what's your problem, do you want Britain to be in charge of the EU? Maybe the UK system is rotten because Manchester only has around 7% of MPs instead of 51% and Labour, the Tories and the Lib Dems won't shut up and agree with what I want?
I want Britain to be in charge of Britain, Germany to be in charge of Germany, France to be in charge of France, etc. I want those we elect to serve the interest of those who directly voted for them and can remove them if they are found wanting.

I want the EU to disappear and return the the trading area it was set up to be as the EEC. I want the UK and European 'partners' to trade with one another, reach sensible border agreements that do not hamper trading, migration and studing opportunities for those in the partnership, yet are also not open to abuse creating additional strains on government services paid for by the taxpayer. I do NOT want an unelected legislative body propose rules and regulations for 751 MEP's to debate over before they are accepted as law, governing over anyone in Europe.

I don't want the UK to be in charge of the EU (except we are going to be leading it in 2017) I don't want the UK to be "in charge" of anybody. Governments are supposed to govern, not rule.
The EU has far too much power and influence and I want it scaled back but they are refusing to relinquish what they've built up. This view is shared by millions of Europeans as well.

We can work on making our own elective process better in the UK, we can do nothing to reform or change the EU from within. More integration with the EU or less. I chose less, because I value co-operation with Europe as a continent of independent self governing nations, not a dictatorial super state.

I reasoned from your posts that you were far right. Many of the points you raise I've seen on far right social media and far right conspiracy stuff.
Which posts i've made in particular do you consider to be "far right"?
Better yet, why not ask me directly my views and opinions on certain topics and subjects that you'd consider someone on the far right would have issue with and garner your opinion based on those responses?

Seriously, fire away.

I think a lot of people who are voting, whether that be to leave or remain, are doing so from a position of limited information. The complexities relating to the EU, and the impact on the country and the population, of either staying or going are vast, way too huge for your average member of the public to have the time to get their heads around and fully understand. That's the truly scary thing, people are making such a fundamentally important decision with extremely limited information, and in some cases a complete lack of understanding. There should never have been a referendum, it's beyond stupid to expect your average member of the public (let alone some of the morons in this country) to have the time, inclination or intellect to grasp all the issues and make a fully informed decision on something so complex. I like to think I'm a fairly intelligent person and I'm still taking a punt, hazarding a guess, at what's the best decision to make.

To a degree I concur. The thought that the future of this country could be decided by the death of a politician is bad enough. To realise that the bleeding hearts could steer our future on the fact that it was the birthday of said politician yesterday and they might feel obliged to give her a birthday present by sympathising with her view is surreal.
However.
It has not been a wasted exercise because people have learnt more about the EU in the past few weeks than they ever knew before....and a lot of them don't like it. They also don't like being scared into a position or being manipulated by lies. The outcome, which will come back to haunt the Tory party, is that the Brexit faction are not going to go away overnight with their tail between their legs. It will probably cause a surge in the UKIP vote next time around. Sure some Brexiters will return to their old voting habits but I bet a lot won't. If I were a Tory in a marginal seat I'd be praying that Leave win the referendum because if they don't then its bye bye Westminster in a few years from now.
Every cloud.....

Likely.
There are 2 main polling types - an internet poll, which costs about £1000, and a phone poll which is better balanced but costs £10000. The latter is much more accurate as it will be properly targeted, but the expense makes them a minority.

strictly speaking, internet poll could be more accurate simply by coincidence. It is by no means a fact that they are always more accurate.

indeed, findings from internet polls should not be regarded as accurate as they are self-selecting and there are issues around accessibility. According to the last Oxford Internet Survey, around 45% of disabled people and a similar proportion of over 55s do not use the internet. Plus, usage is lower among low income groups.

You could a weighting factor to reflect a known demographic profile or segmentation but it would be so harsh, it is unlikely to correct any bias, unless by pure chance.

In short, internet polls are shite. Other forms of research contain bias but are much more likely to provide data that that can be considered as authoritative.

I've been out of the UK for more than 15 years so I can't vote. If I could vote I'd vote for remain.

Leave has offered me no reason to change from the status quo. When they do I might listen but "immigrants. Immigrants! IMMIGRANTS!!!11!!" and a figure plucked from Michael Gove's arse is hardly solid proof that we should throw away 70 years of unity.

There is also no clear plan how to exit. We have had the Norwegian plan, then we had the Switzerland Model. Then we were going be like Albania, then possibly like Pluto, we might move on to Gallifrey next. The most common version used by the Leave campaign seems to have been Utopia but even that doesn't have a lot of detail.

I bet they don't have this in Switzerland do they.

Nice of you to want this to grow in the UK from your detached position in Baden.

Yes (the first correction, although correct, was a bit picky!)

Like, it's not fair, because in our parliament, I elect an mp to represent my constituency. But with the European Parliament, I do exactly the same. That's why I want to take back control.

Vote leave!
