For Scotland read England for Uk read the EU. You get the arguments and you can see the issue and thinking in others just not yourselves.
When I hear Brexiters I just hear Scottish nationalists , the same logic, same thinking, same optimism, same arguments.its just funny to see people spot all the flaws in their own arguments in someone else's .
Scotland has a population of less than 6 million and they are free to enter England to work or play just as we are free to reciprocate. The massive population of Europe is something to concern us if free movement is to be encouraged because it would increase the strain on our infrastructure which is already at breaking point. So any direct comparison to motives for our independence from Europe and Scottish independence from the UK is hardly appropriate. WE are not threatening the Scottish infrastructure with benefit claimants or overloading their schools, hospitals, roads etc. We also speak the same language so there is no hinderance in schools to indiginous children on either side of the border.
There is also the problem of religious extremism coming from the continent that we do not experience from Scots and they don't experience it from us. We are hardly in danger from our near neighbours unless they get radical and start acts of terrorism which is pushing the envelope beyond credibilty. So no I don't recognise any hypocrisy in the Brexit argument.
