Very good opinion piece in the Washington post today on Brexit and what could happen.

60% of non EU multinationals have London as their EU base and 40% of Europea biggest multinationals too, if even a third move what's the consequence.

3 months without a real prime minister what's the effect?

Northern Ireland what will the effect be on the peace if the border is no longer open and if half of the population feels it is being forced out by England?

What happens if the other 27 members can't reach unanimous agreement on the new deal?

How can fear and uncertainty be factored into any economic kid?

What if Scotland votes yes and England no?

Interested in thoughts of which of these will won't happen and which matter or don't matter?

Again posting thoughts oor rather questiona from an international paper

We are stuck with the Tories for a fair while yet Joe
For as long as we have Corbyn as the leader of the opposition I suspect you could be correct. Having said that, after the referendum I suspect ere will be siesmic shifts in the political structures, regardless of whether we remain or we leave. This referendum may be the best thing that has happened to us politically. We are due a major shakeup and upheaval.

OMG??? Haha. Are you old enough to post?
Please stop with the age questions. Grooming on the internet will land you in trouble.

Apologies. I hastily misread your post starting 'ONS's' as OMGs, which is why I responded the way I did. In fact no, its partly why I responded the way I did. The fact you were a condescending fucktard in your original reply to my question on the immigration figures was the main reason why I think you're a dick. Admittedly politics is not my forte, so I came on here to ask a question, and rather than offer an insightful answer, you decided to jump on it and call it a lazy post and basically get a few sly digs in.

If I tell my three year old not to play around with water near electrical items or she could get hurt, is that a threat or sensible advice? When did sensible advice become a threat and is this a deliberate and clever strategy to try and discredit sensible advice by brexiters?
The scenario you paint about your daughter is an absolute fact, the advice you're comparing it with is more supposition and speculation. Therein lies the answer to the question you ask.

I think such a potentially huge change should trigger a general election because we elected our parties on the basis of their manifesto and plans for the country. George said yesterday a Brexit vote would require an emergency budget and a lot of changes, surely that requires the people to have their say on whether they want those changes? For Brexiters this will soon be your democracy given back after all....

Someone at somepoint also has to decide what EU legislation we plan to keep and what we plan to throw away, surely that also is a consitutional question to ask of the people?

As far as I'm aware, there is no need for an emergency budget because if we do leave, then there would have to be a 'divorce deal' done with the EU. Furthermore, even if the majority want out, the government don't have to comply with that. But I could be talking bollocks.

The reasons we should have a general election in my opinion are:

1. I don't think the country would trust Cameron to cut the best deal for us.
2. If that sparked a Tory leadership war then whoever wins, say out of Osborne and Johnson, would not have the full backing of the conservative Westminster MPs.

Both the above points will drive for an election, I suspect an election will address your other point about EU legislation through party manifestos.

I think there will be an election between 6 and 12 months after the referendum next Thursday!

If I'm being honest, I was a bit over the top in my first post so I apologise for that.

Thank you.

I should also add I think eb is a thoughtful bloke with some interesting ideas on life and definitely means well it's just in this debate on the eu referendum , sometimes I think firstly Why do you care so much? and secondly, he is like a dog with a bone when starts debating!!!!!

So SWP's opinions are valid despite him also being non resident in the UK?
