Haha calm down. Is he fuck. He's always been a eurosceptic. The only reason he fell into line was to avoid in fighting and be allowed back into the parliamentary party when he finished as London Mayor.

The only time he's gone against his true beliefs is when he's backed being in the EU.

You're also suggesting that a person can't ever change their minds. A fuck load has happened in the EU in the last three years. To think that a view must be written in stone and never changed is beyond idiotic.

Look at Corbyn, he's never been a fan of the EU but now leads a party united in their wish to stay. Is he being opportunistic?

So a man of commitment is vying to be the next PM. Thats good to know. At least for once we will know 100% whenever he opens his mouth he is lying.

well it is correct unless we have moved continents.

I think this is one of the things about this, unlike other european islands like cyprus or malta a lot of the UK see ourselves as this seperate place next to europe that works with them rather than part of them, that is a very insulor view and might have worked when we were some major empire, but we ain't anymore. We are a set of island which benefits as part of a continent of mutual co-operation and understanding

I am guessing he wasn't talking from a geographic standpoint.

Mutual co-operation and understanding. I like the sound of that. Someone should come up with a proposal. We could call it the European Community, or more colloquially, the Common Market. That would work.

That's rich coming from you mate. You call yourself after Gelson Fernandes and i know you don't live on these shores. You are a direct beneficiary of what you claim to oppose!! There is no reasoning, it's nuts mate!! Why deny your children the same opportunity you had??
Ermmm (he's not in the EU matey)

As a scout i crossed a glacier over four days in kandersteg, met Italians portugese and polish, went on a day trip for a pizza to Torino, an ice castle at the highest train station in all Europe. Skinny dipped in the Oschinesse. None would have happened if my own country isolated itself.
Most of mates did years out in Thailand/Vietnan/Cambodia/Australia and none of those countries are in the EU.

If the UK left, why wouldn't kids still be able to travel around Europe in the way they are allowed to travel outside of Europe?

Well we won' t be in them, I hadn't seen it before this morning but at the last pmq's cameron was asked whether there would be a second referendum and he said if we are out we are out of the lot, EU, council of europe and the rest. We will then re neotigated everything, so more than likely we will be like the naughty child sat in the corner.

Id rather have a politician that responds to changes in events in the world and acts accordingly than a dinosaur that decides his/hers views as a 20 year old and refuses to revisit then under any circumstances.
