Anyone see the front page of The Mirroe this morning - 'poll swing following Jo's murder' or words to that effect

A bit tasteless, I thought

Not seen it but that headline sounds tasteless. They may also be claiming a link where there isn't one?

The pollsters expected a strengthening of the remain vote in the final days and most of the recent polls were conducted before we knew the killer was a right wing extremist.

That will be the Boris that this morning SKY News are running a 2013 interview where he categorically states the UK benefits from and should remain in the EU is it?

The man is a two faced lying prick - an opportunist who has taken the most important decision this nation will make in decades and hijacked it for his own bid to mount a coup against Cameron and Osborn. I have no pity for either of them but cannot abide the idea the Johnson is manipulating this for his own ends - he is a fucking traitor.
Haha calm down. Is he fuck. He's always been a eurosceptic. The only reason he fell into line was to avoid in fighting and be allowed back into the parliamentary party when he finished as London Mayor.

The only time he's gone against his true beliefs is when he's backed being in the EU.

You're also suggesting that a person can't ever change their minds. A fuck load has happened in the EU in the last three years. To think that a view must be written in stone and never changed is beyond idiotic.

Look at Corbyn, he's never been a fan of the EU but now leads a party united in their wish to stay. Is he being opportunistic?

Jeremy Corbyn is on Sky News tomorrow evening with Fizal Islam - I think this could be interesting. When Corbyn was asked on the Last Leg(C4 comedy show) how much he cares about staying in(out of ten), he replied 7.5 - not sure if he's going to do any side any good

We are not just British, we are European. What does that even mean? It sounds like a meaningless soundbite to me.

well it is correct unless we have moved continents.

I think this is one of the things about this, unlike other european islands like cyprus or malta a lot of the UK see ourselves as this seperate place next to europe that works with them rather than part of them, that is a very insulor view and might have worked when we were some major empire, but we ain't anymore. We are a set of island which benefits as part of a continent of mutual co-operation and understanding

It means what it sounds like. We are not simply English or British, we are key members of Europe. We have an interest to stay as we are, it's not meaningless. Johnson gove and farage are only in it for themselves, don't be fooled.

Thanks for the advice. I will try my best not be fooled. Just asking really because I don't feel, or feel the need to be, European at all. So I still don't understand what you mean.

Where do you get that from?? For a start, our kids can get jobs in over twenty countries if they choose. They can go to Asia or America too, but not as easily. We are not just British, we are European. That's simply my point and i struggle when swp, prestwich and gelson don't get it.
I get lots of things and have already voted in.

What I am not is myopic and hell bent on saying anything that disagrees with my way of thinking is stupid or "shite".

With youth unemployment far higher in most European states than our own, it makes the fact they they can gain employment there moot to an extent. Especially when the vast majority can't speak Polish or Dutch.
