Torres doesn't have the pace anymore and hes lost the goalscorers touch but he has somehow developed into a decent passer of the ball who can find space. if he was to be played behind a main striker in a similar role to kaka/ozil at real Madrid, I think he'd really come on as a player

Torres hasn't got a reputation for losing the plot though! Mario knows that people and refs look for him but he only fans the flames at times.

At some point you have to blame the absolute **** referees though for their enormous inadequacy.

At some point people actually have to realize that Balo is mental case and should stop shouting nonsense like ''Balo Legend''

He's not a legend - but he's still a young man with time to learn, and could yet prove that he isn't a head case (unlike Joey Barton).

Here we go the Mario haters are having a field day forgetting that he made the pass that won us the league. He had a good game and every striker misses even world class ones. Torres missed about 6 chances why not give it a rest?

He is 21 plays for us and his national team like him or not he is a talent enough to do both.

Pretty interesting game that. On a normal day I don't think Italy's back line deserved to conceded a goal because they were all brilliant, but it took a bit of genuine class to get past them, and still only once. They looked a bit more vulnerable when the game opened up as they were chasing the win towards the end. Either team could have won, would shade it to Italy though.

Don't think we'll see much more of Balo pending an injury to Cassano or Di Natale though, unless he comes on during a stalemate and scores a cracker or something.

When should decisions be based on reputation?

They shouldn't be always are! If someone spends so much time exploding when things don't go right etc then refs will always look when it starts!! Against the arse mario was a disgrace to our shirt!! No one can argue against that and today besides a compile of nice take downs he's shown himself petulant again!!! He'll never be world class as his attitude won't let him! £25m player?? Not for me.
