European away games ticketing policy

Surprising it hasn't sold out yet.

it seems to me that once we have played at a european ground for the 1st time, the novelty wears off for some.
This game sold out at high points last year.
Barca went open sale as did Munich last time we played.
i wonder if this would be the same if we drew paris or madrid again?

Sure it sold out at 12k last time which is probably equal to 13k this time add that to everybody thought it was collect on site and the fact it was September last year probably sell out at same level.

I think its the xmas thing. money is tighter.

I think you're right if past years are anything to go by, the last 3 years away day trips before Xmas also never sold out:

Juventus
Roma
Bayern Munich
I think Bayern was because it was a repeat, but a lot will avoid the Italian matches because of the threat of trouble. Who wants to spend a few hundred quid and have to be on your guard whilst out and about?

OK I'll give you napoli was a little threatening but every other Italian trip has been a joy.

More fool them, both Juventus and Roma trips with not one iota of trouble but great drink, food and footy...... what's not to like?
