European Stadiums You Have Visited to Watch a NON-City Match

San Mames (Athletic Bilbao), Santiago Bernebau (Real Madrid) and Vincente Calderon (Atletico Bilbao).
All during 1982 World Cup. A fantastic times was had by all. Locals in Bilbao out of this world every day a fiesta.
In Madrid not too bad, but the fucking police, well that's another story.

Watched Spartak Moscow v some team with lots of letters in it in October as we stayed in Moscow until the Sunday evening after City played there.

We wondered why there were thousands of police everywhere, tanks and all sorts. But it turns out Spartak fans can be slightly....boisterous:

I also went to the Mecca of world football, Ewan Fields to watch Hyde vs Nuneaton, someone. It was pissing it down, but you could take pints in the ground, which could explain how this happened:

Reffed a game, between two army teams, in the Berlin Olympic Stadium(it was part of the garrison HQ at the time)

Nou Camp during the Cruyf era- dad and me drove up from Benidorm......
Lots of german grounds when I was based there-Bayer Urdingen was a favourite.

Further to my post on page 1. Spain for Barca v Majorca.

Locals were great, the tourists were shit.

And for the kind poster who pointed out that Monaco isn't in France, is Barcelona in Spain ?

just askin'

About 10 years ago I went to see Teplice vs Celtic in the UEFA cup in the Czech Republic.

I found out since it was Dzekos first club so I might have seen him play before any of you so HA!
