European super league

i was just musing over the latest bawling coming from the spanish idiots running La Liga.

now that the 2 big cash cows (messi and t'other one) of la liga are getting frail, do you think that the idea of a euro super league will be pushed far harder now?
with an obvious dip in la liga's appeal after those two fuck off (or retire), meaning a slow down of revenues, will this be floated in serious discussions? i cant see barca and real accepting any kind of severe downward trend in their financial muscle or player appeal without trying to bring in new revenue from something else.

also, if many of the top euro clubs end up signing for a euro league, would you want city in it at all, or stay in the premier league?

If a Euro super league materialises our owners will be at the forefront. It will promote the 'brand'.
Personally I hope it never gets off the ground.
On the other hand, a galactic league.......

the initial reaction is to say "abso-fucking-lutely get on that, but i would fall out with football if this happened. fc city of manchester would be born no doubt, lol!!

Various attempts made like this over the years are just another ploy by the old guard. We should steer well clear.

We should have a Manchester super league. Teams from Traffordshire would not be eligible.
Breaking: City beat Hough End 25 - 0 in the final.

I think the Premier League is a bit of a super league in itself and a cash cow.

It'd appeal more to the likes of Bayern, PSG, Juventus, Celtic and Ajax who lack competition in their own leagues or are huge clubs in leagues that don't make money.
