European super league

Who's up for doing all the away games!!!!! LOL!
It's going to happen for sure, it's the natural progress, the world championships will become the champions league as we know it now.

Fuck off. I can't stand Romulans!

But Vulcans on the other hand....

It will happen it's the natural progression, or should we still be playing in the Lancashire league?

It would be very hard to run a European League, because the question would be what happens to the team that finishes bottom of this league.
1 Do they get relegated back to their own top league and that club gets promoted.
2 Who would be in overall charge of the League, UEFA or a newly formed body would do it.
3 Where would we get the refs come from, to run these games, if UEFA say we can't use their Officials to take part in these games.
4 Where would the money come from to pay the clubs to take part, it would need substantial backing of the sponsors to make it happen.
5 Which leagues would take part, and which clubs.
6 What happens to the clubs that take part, and it fails. do they go back to their original leagues they moved from.

No major club will want to leave their own domestic league apart from maybe Celtic and Rangers (if they were even invited).

The way the calendar is packed out with domestic competition and internationals there's only so many games you can fit in. Even if you had a 14 team league (like the old G14) you wouldn't be able to play each other twice and fit 26 games in around the domestic calendar.

League formats in European competition just doesn't work and has diluted the CL and Europa League a lot. They should both be straight knockouts whether seeded or not.
