It will end up a duopoly with 2 clubs wiping out the rest of football, City would not compete long term if clubs sold their own content.

I was amazed they never threw that in with the original proposal at a time UEFA were shafting fans left right and centre.

The current situation is untenable. Tyson Fury can get £60m from one fight. The big clubs can make more than that from a single match. It is a game-changer. The money is huge and can easily be used to subsidise match tickets for ordinary local fans. But the domestic leagues must be protected. It is the end for the dinosaurs at SKY TV who have mocked us for the last 10 years. They are going the same way as the newspaper industry. The PL will have to clean up its act and get rid of all its restrictive business practices. The mainstream media will slag it off because they have a vested interest. But it is inevitable.

I don't like where football is going and over the last few decades I don't like where it has been.

We can just accept it's all going to shit and just enjoy the ride with paying as little as possible for it.

It doesn't have to be run by Perez. The structure needs to be set up properly unlike the current shit shows at the PL and UEFA. It is up to all the clubs to sort it out. You are right to urge caution though. But I just can't see how UEFA can survive. They get all the content provided by the clubs for nothing and take the piss out of most of them a lot of the time. There is no reason why multi-billion pound businesses should allow themselves to be walked over by a bunch of crooks. It is untenable. Once independent regulation comes in the PL will also have to change totally. Morons like Masters can't tell businesses how they spend their money. There needs to be proper governance. It all has to change.

It will not be that simple. There will have to be governance and safeguards otherwise everyone loses out. The current structure would not survive any legal challenge. The clubs own the content just like any other entertainment business. I am not saying there are no risks but I don't believe anyone can stop this happening. It is a globalised world whether we like it or not. The Digital Revolution has changed everything. City need to be involved in this so we can shape what happens. If it ends up being run by a cartel (like is now) it will certainly fail.
