European super league

If be happy enough MCFC playing Championship football again, Genuinely couldn't give a fuck about all this drama anymore.

Part of me thinks let all the Red Cartel and other so called "Big European Giants" have their shit Super League, For as long as I can remember that's what all this is about anyway, Keep the so called big clubs at the top and fuck everyone else.

I'd rather watch Championship football than watch that shite anyway. What sort of chance do other teams stand whether it's in England, Spain, Germany ect all leagues want the big boys at the top table, Take Newcastle for example, They've shit loads of cash and can't do anything with it, God forbid they ever over take Liverpool or Man Utd! How dare they...

Fuck the lot of them shove it up their arse.

I don’t see why City won’t do sell out of selling there own content
We could massively increase venue say pay per view £2 + tax a game and 25m sales, 10 SL games £500m much more than we get now from Uefa comps, but when some other team gets £1b+ we get left behind and the global fans migrate to very small handful of successful clubs, like now but far fewer clubs and far more fans each.
It will not be that simple. There will have to be governance and safeguards otherwise everyone loses out. The current structure would not survive any legal challenge. The clubs own the content just like any other entertainment business. I am not saying there are no risks but I don't believe anyone can stop this happening. It is a globalised world whether we like it or not. The Digital Revolution has changed everything. City need to be involved in this so we can shape what happens. If it ends up being run by a cartel (like is now) it will certainly fail.
I appreciate and hope there would be a more fair split, but the clubs driving it want anything but a fair split.

The Ifollow model showed what could happen, Sunderland in League 1 making more money on their cut of sales for an away game than the home team get in total for the game. The rich get richer.

As long as we don't let Arsenal write the governance this time

Clearly there are big risks but I don't see how things can stay the same. Measures have to be put in place to ensure fair competition but we can't halt the technology. I think truly independent regulation will have to play a role. The current situation is absurd where corrupted bodies like the PL and UEFA act as "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" to protect a small clique of favoured clubs. Ambitious clubs have to be allowed to progress not shackled like Newcastle have been.

Would I go and watch a new European Super League, no I wouldn’t.

This is my last season in the CL cup scheme.

If City are in the CL next season, which is by no means guaranteed atm, I will pick and choose CL home games.

Clubs are sick of their assets getting injured at shit international matches, ESL will come for sure.
I think as long as we want to play in the PL under the auspices of the FA under UEFA and then FIFA it won't, or play in the UK under what is proposed by the regulator.

I could see another team called Manchester City playing in another country in a world super league, who can do what they want and a PDC /BDO split, and City continuing in the PL as a separate team. Is that not what the multi-team model is leading to?

12 European aways. If it is like last week in Turin, no thanks. Kept in a stairwell for 35 minutes after the game them moved along to an outside area for 25 minutes in temperatures of 2 degrees before being let our at 11.45pm. No thanks and the champions league home games are getting binned next season or whenever we next qualify. There are just too many games now, I want my life back;-).
As a FOC I like to be in bed early these dark nights.
