European U21 Championships

Even with the missing players it wouldn't of made that much difference.

Problem is the little shits ego's are so inflated they think they're the finished article already. Give a young lad £30k a week and of course it will go to his head. Young players should be on performance based contracts. You want your £30k a week? Well get on the pitch and fucking earn it. Will never happen though.

While Pearce is no managerial genius,he has been let down badly by the FA.

They chose to allow the senior team to take integral players to participate in friendlies while a prestigious tournament was being held elsewhere.

Look at the players Pearce had left to choose from, while none of them are good enough for a top Prem team, some barely even feature for their lower tier parent clubs,so in reality what chance did he really have?

The English production line is in dire straits. No manager will fix that issue anytime soon.

The Israeli U21s were fairly decent but looking at both squads of players, there's no way they should have beaten England tonight.

The blame for the disaster of a tournament must fall on Pearce, although it has to be said that none of the England squad gave a good account of themselves.

He actually stood there and blamed it all on the players lol what a tool
You've got to love Pearce, after each of the first two defeats he came out and took responsibility for not one iota of the performances, yet after the Israel game he comes out, states he's "sick and tired" of defending the players, and lays the blame squarely at their door! Whilst he's right, in as much as the performances on the pitch have been woeful and the players have caused that, his failure to accept any of the blame is laughable. I assume, had they won all 3 matches, he'd have been coming out and saying "I deserve no credit whatsoever for this, the players have done it all without any involvement from me"? No, thought not.

Pearce is about as clueless a manager as you're likely to see, no man-management skills at all, no tactical awareness, only interested in lumping it forward and clinging desperately to a clean sheet. If he isn't sacked/contract not renewed then the FA are as clueless as he is.

He may be clueless but surely the FA have to have a look at themselves and ask what is the purpose of an under 21 team if they would prefer players like Rodwell to travel to Brazil for 7 minutes. Surely he and England would have been better off playing in a tournament with players such as Oxlade-Chamberlain?
