you wont keep working class fans if you increase season tickets by that much I could only just afford mine last year and cant renew this year if theres a significant increase
same here!
And me and I told them that in the feedback.....even though the cup prices have been cheap this year I simply can't afford the additional expense , I would love to have gone Saturday but it's an extra £70 for me

Read the first two pages and saw that some are wrong in what is being asked in the survey. If others have corrected them in the next 15 pages I apologise.

The survey does not say people will be shunted out of a seat. It actually says people will be asked if they would consider moving so someone else could have the seat. You can refuse and stay in your seat. If you agree to move you will be compensated.

The survey asked what compensation you would want. One idea was tickets to all away games, that would save someone over £600. Other comp was maybe a free season ticket that season.

You do not have to buy Ever Blue also just like you now do not have to buy platinum.

It is ideas that should be considered and for the fans to be involved beats anything being imposed.

The idea of buying a seat for life is good, the cost will be the issue. Figures like £600 are detailed, paid in 4 sums over the year. Quite expensive.

Those are the compensation levels mentioned at this point so people put they would be interested. Then it becomes reality as people said they would, but with much lower compensation.

The club saw with platinum that they could force people to pay more for basically nothing extra gained and will continue to do so.

Rags/Arsenal mark 2 here we come.

I'm not entirely sure that working class fans are the target demographic.

its gettin to the point now where we will find out if the club genuinely give a shit about retaining loyal fans and keep it affordable or if they will be happy with a new fan filling our seats but paying significant amounts more I have a bad feeling I know which route they will choose and blaming ffpr wont wash as ticket income is miniscule compared to other income even at higher prices

I think the club should look at our own version of quantitative easing...

Shiekh Mansour credits every season ticket holder with £10k.

They can ONLY use the 'City foundation' debit card on related product over the next five years.

Beer, season tickets, merchandise, away travel, Match day Metro travel.

Each time you reduce the balance, you are personally billed 10p for every pound you spend, payable to a charity of our choosing.

Money comes back to the club, we're all in clover and the owner is effectively paying himself to get around Financial Fair play.

£360 million - job's a good un.

Being a season ticket for over half my life, I feel the current system is fine. The club obviously needs to continue to improve revenue though due to FFPR but I feel this is the wrong route. The club should maybe increase season ticket prices by a £100 -£150 but throw in all home cup games which would guarantee large cup crowds. This is fundamentally a working class club for loyal fans, please don't exclude us in this clubs wonderful future.

understandable lads.

i'm on a low income but don't have kids so it's different for everyone. i think £100 extra on this years but you get EVERY cup tie at home chucked in, including UCL games is a good deal but like i say that may be too much for some.

the best is for them to bring back standing.

I agree and I would also say that there is a significant portion of the crowd whose children go with them already (family stand plus those with older kids) so why would they want a ticket to pass on to family when they already have a ticket? So they would be looking at paying an annual levy so that their, as yet, non existent grandchild might take on their seat some time in the future when they can no longer attend providing that grandchild is interested in footy and that we are still selling out every game with the only apparent benefit that they get to keep the loyalty points. I say earn your own points non existent grandchild! feckin JCL.
Personally I think this will generate less interest than Superbia.

Still don't understand why anyone would pay £600 to secure a seat for life when simply renewing every summer would achieve the same thing. Am I missing something ?

I registered on here just to reply to this topic.

The Idea that City are even considering this is scandalous. Effectively they are asking us to accept that somebody with greater finances can take a fancy to your seat and ask the club to move you for a monetary bribe.

Sure, you don’t have to move, you can say no. They may keep chipping away at you, increasing the “compensation” until you bite.

Anyone can be bought. Everybody has their price!

It’s the principle that stinks. Where does it stop?

A cracking idea
I'll just put it all behind the bar, should last the next couple of games!
